1. Overview

Where a competition or prize promotion offers a free postal entry route, it is structured so that a valid free entry method is available alongside any paid ticket route.

Where a valid free postal entry route is available, no purchase is required to participate.

This page explains how to submit a valid free postal entry in accordance with the entry requirements.

Free postal entry instructions are also shown on the relevant competition page. Always refer to the specific competition page for closing dates, entry limits, prize details and any competition-specific requirements.

Unless otherwise stated in the competition details, postal entries must:

• Be sent one entry per envelope
• Include your full name
• Include your email address, where possible
• Include your postal address if an email address is not provided
• Clearly state the competition number or competition name
• Be legible
• Be sent using ordinary First Class or Second Class post at the normal postal rate
• Have correct postage affixed

Recorded, signed-for or Special Delivery is not required.

Entries must be personally completed.

Bulk submissions, automated entries, mechanically reproduced entries or commercial mailing systems are not permitted.

4. Closing Date

The Entry Closing Time for each competition is stated on the relevant competition page.

Postal entries must be posted before the Entry Closing Time.

Postal entries arriving after the Entry Closing Time may still be accepted where they were posted before the Entry Closing Time and received within a reasonable processing period.

The winner selection date may occur after the Entry Closing Time to allow postal entries to be received and processed.

5. Equal Treatment

Free postal entries:

• Are assigned unique Entry ID numbers
• Are entered into the same winner selection pool as paid entries
• Have an equal chance of winning
• Are subject to the same winner selection process
• Are processed in the same manner as paid entries once received and validated

Free entries are not disadvantaged and have equal treatment in the winner selection process.

6. Entry Limits

Where a maximum entry limit applies:

• The same maximum applies across all entry methods
• Attempts to exceed limits may result in voided entries
• Entry limits apply per person, regardless of entry method

7. Record Keeping

All valid free postal entries are:

• Logged in the entry ledger
• Assigned a competition number or competition identifier
• Assigned a Participant ID
• Assigned an Entry ID

Records are retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

8. Invalid Entries

Entries may be deemed invalid if:

• Required information is missing
• The envelope contains multiple entries
• The entry is illegible
• The entry was posted after the Entry Closing Time
• The entry is received outside a reasonable processing period
• The entry breaches the stated entry conditions
• There are reasonable grounds to suspect irregular, automated, bulk, commercial or abusive submission patterns

Invalid entries will not be included in the winner selection process.

The operator reserves the right to verify authenticity where irregular submission patterns are detected.

9. Important

Free postal entry is a genuine alternative method of participation where a free entry route is available.

ENTER PLAYER 1 does not:

• Require paid entry to win
• Give paid entries preferential treatment
• Restrict access to the free postal entry route where one is offered

All valid entries, whether free or paid, have an equal chance of winning.
